Faith, Growth, and Integrity
A Progress Update
Dear Sponsors and Partners,
Warm greetings from all of us at Leaders Foundation Mission of Liberia (LFMOL). We thank God for His faithfulness and for your continued support and prayers, which have allowed both our students and staff to grow—not only academically but also spiritually.
The 2025 - 2026 academic year has been a year of growth and challenge, and our team remains steadfast in our mission to nurture leaders of integrity, compassion, and excellence. Each morning, our staff and students begin the day with prayer and devotion. Many children who once hesitated to pray or speak about God now lead devotions, read Scriptures, and sing with joy. Teachers have also reported greater unity among themselves, a stronger commitment to mentorship, and a renewed passion for serving with purpose. Truly, the spiritual atmosphere on campus continues to thrive.
Academic Integrity and Growth
Academically, our students have shown remarkable growth. Many have improved in reading fluency, comprehension, and mathematics, while others have begun developing critical thinking and leadership skills through class projects and group discussions. Though we celebrate these achievements, we also remain honest about our standards. Several students were not promoted at the end of the 2024–2025 academic year due to unsatisfactory performance. Some parents expected promotion regardless of results, but we remain committed to integrity. Our teachers work with every student who struggles to help them achieve all they can.
Morning Gathering: Each school day begins with instruction, devotion, and worship.
Partnership and Shared Responsibility
We are also working hard to build a culture where parents and guardians take greater ownership of their children’s education. While many parents face financial hardship, we continue to encourage them to contribute, no matter how small, to demonstrate shared responsibility. Programs such as our Work-to-Fee initiative have helped bridge the gap, but we still rely heavily on your prayers and support as we strive for long-term sustainability.
We have reduced the total student census to allocate resources more effectively for each child. While some families continue to face challenges meeting the Parent Responsibility Fee, we remain committed to supporting them and strengthening our sustainability. Though we’ve operated at a deficit in recent years, we see this as an opportunity to refine our model and build a stronger future. We are deeply grateful for the continued generosity of our sponsors and donors.
Understanding the Families We Serve
The truth is, these families truly have very little. Many of them live day to day, simply trying to feed their children or find work. Most have no education themselves, yet they are trying to find jobs that require one. The truth of the matter is that many parents did not enroll their children this year because of the Parent Responsibility Fee, something they simply do not have. A visiting team came and saw the living conditions firsthand. They witnessed the reality of their struggles, homes with very little, parents doing their best with what they have.
Yet, in Liberia, many people label these families as “the uncivilized.” But we see them differently. We see their potential, their dignity, and the purpose God has for each one of them. Some have stepped out in faith and signed up for the Parent Responsibility Fee; others simply cannot, because they have babies and young children at home, or they are sick and unable to work due to lack of medical care.
There are many reasons, but one truth remains: these are the underserved, the very ones God has called us to love and serve. This is why Leaders Foundation Mission of Liberia exists: to reach those overlooked by society, to provide education, and to share the transforming power of the Gospel.
Our Heart of Gratitude & Faith
Leader’s Foundation Mission of Liberia - Teachers
We pray that God will grant us long life, good health, and prosperity of soul as we continue this work.
We consider it a privilege to serve. This is part of the calling of missions and missionary work — to give of ourselves for the sake of the Gospel.
We hold firmly to the Word of God, trusting His promises:
“And everyone that hath forsaken houses or brethren or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake”
