Joseph Dorbor, the founder of Leaders Foundation Mission of Liberia, is a testament to the transformative power of perseverance. Born into circumstances that mirror the struggles of many of his students today—lacking opportunity and hope—Joseph rose above his challenges with a dream. He envisioned an institution dedicated to nurturing academic excellence, underpinned by spiritual foundations, committed to empowering students to build productive and hopeful futures. Joseph is committed to equipping his students to rise above the powerful gravity of hoplessness through education, spiritual maturity, and community citizenship.

Monique Dorbor, co-founder and the heart of the Leadership Foundation Mission of Liberia, thrives in the vibrant center of the school’s daily life. Her unwavering faith and lofty expectations for educators shine through, uplifting and inspiring all who work alongside her. Monique’s journey to Liberia was fueled by a shared dream with her husband, Joseph, to establish a beacon of hope—a school capable of elevating students from the pervasive poverty in Liberia. With every teacher she mentors and every student she cherishes, Monique is steadfast in her mission to cultivate one of Liberia’s premier educational institutions—a place where potential is nurtured and futures are transformed.
